Some things are timeless

Welcome

While the corner stone of our church was laid long ago, the foundation on which our home was built endures to this day. Everyone, regardless of your faith or background, is welcome here.

The world has changed beyond our founders’ wildest dreams. However, the issues they faced were the same back then as they are today. Difficulties in relationships, raising children, jobs and money, questions about who we are and what purpose we have – are ageless concerns.

Similarly, the answer to all that consternation has existed since the beginning of humanity - and will prevail until the end of time. It's the guidance, comfort, inspiration and salvation that's bestowed upon us through the belief in one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Welcome to St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church in Mountain Top.

It is our hope that you'll find us to be a very comfortable and welcoming place of worship for you and your family. We are an inclusive church incorporating into our liturgy the best of both Catholic and Protestant traditions, while also remaining open to new directions from the Holy Spirit. Many families of mixed denominational backgrounds have found a happy home here without having to worry about "fitting in."

St. Martin's is a parish in the Diocese of Bethlehem, and as a modern Episcopal church, we recognize divorce and the remarriage of divorced people, LGBTQ equality, male and female clergy, single or married, and a Eucharist open to all baptized persons, regardless of their faith background.

We uphold five marks of mission which includes proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom, teaching and nurturing new believers, safeguarding the integrity of creation, and of particular importance to us, responding to human need through loving service and seeking to transform unjust structures in society; and, challenging violence of every kind.

The charitable work we do individually, and collectively as a congregation reflects our commitment to these increasingly crucial needs in our area.

This will hopefully give you a better understanding of our church and congregation. I thank you for considering us as a possibility for your spiritual home, and on behalf of all of us at St. Martin's, we look forward to seeing you soon. Meanwhile, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me by phone at 570-868-5358 or send an email to: contact@stmartintimeless.org.

Blessings,

Father Charlie+
